Girl Scouts of Greater New York (GSGNY) is seeking the Director of Individual Giving. As part of a seven-person Advancement team, the Director is the operational leader of Individual Giving, responsible for growing existing individual and major gifts programs, managing a personal donor portfolio, and acting as project manager for the fundraising line. This role collaborates with the Chief Development Officer (CDO) and, with the assistance of an Individual Giving Associate, plans, executes, and oversees activities for solicitation of individual donors, including identification, research, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and recognition. The Director will also support the CEO, CDO, and board leadership in managing their individual donor portfolios. Key Responsibilities

Track and review fundraising projections to ensure the team meets Individual Giving fundraising numbers. Support the CDO and CEO in the preparation of Committee and/or Board meeting materials. Coordinate individual giving collateral and solicitation materials, including proposals and reports, letters, etc. Collaborate with Council program managers to set up program site visits for donors, invitations to programmatic events, and coordinate volunteer engagement opportunities. Collaborate with appropriate departments on the cultivation of Independent School troop parents and volunteers. Manage and expand upon Advancement-related events (e.g., Juliette Low Society reception, Trefoil Society reception, donor events at Camp Kaufmann in Holmes, NY). Track all Individual Giving-related expenses for responsible budget management. Manage the Individual Giving Associate, who will support you in many of your tasks. Major Gifts: Operations + Support

Maintain the Individual Giving pipeline for Major Gifts (including Board giving). Support frontline fundraisers by keeping a clean and accurate reference document for moves management. Provide strategic support and guidance to the CEO, CDO, and Board of Directors in their fundraising activities including creating research profiles, meeting agendas, and moves management recommendations. Own three important donor constituencies with a focus on retention and major gift prospect identification: Trefoil Society, our membership circle for donors who give $1,000+ annually. Club 1912, our Girl Scout alumni and emerging professionals group. Juliette Low Society, our planned giving/legacy circle Support the GSGNY Marathon team and other charity endurance program participants in reaching their fundraising goals. Assist with special events as needed. Perform other duties as assigned and needed to successfully achieve Advancement team goals. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required. 4-6 years of fundraising experience and demonstrated success cultivating and soliciting major gifts. Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience. Experience meeting with high-stakes donors and prospects face-to-face, leading meetings, and making asks. Exceptional relationship-building skills: ability to personally connect with and engage diverse groups of internal and external stakeholders. Excellent written communication skills with demonstrated experience developing successful fundraising campaigns and related messaging. Discretion, good judgement, excellent listening and verbal communication skills. Strong personal commitment to Girl Scouts of Greater New York’s mission and vision. Enthusiasm to learn about Girl Scouts programs, history, and values in order to answer donor’s questions and make a strong, compelling case for support. Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills. Ability to work independently and take full ownership of projects. Internal motivation to hold oneself to high standards on tasks large and small. A strong appreciation for the ways in which a process impacts the product. Knowledge of prospect tracking systems and donor databases. Raiser’s Edge experience a plus. Compensation & Benefits
