Additionally, the Deputy Fire Rescue Chief will collaborate with other city departments to ensure comprehensive emergency preparedness and response. Responsibilities
Assist the Fire Chief with overseeing fire rescue operations Lead and manage departmental staff to achieve safety and operational objectives Develop and implement fire safety programs and training initiatives Coordinate emergency response efforts and ensure regulatory compliance Collaborate with other city departments for comprehensive emergency preparedness and response Qualifications
Experience in fire rescue operations and emergency response management Skills in developing and implementing fire safety programs Ability to manage departmental staff and conduct training sessions Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements Excellent leadership and communication skills A bachelor’s degree in Fire Science, Emergency Management, or a related field is preferred IFSAC Fire Officer II Certification, and current licensure as an EMT-Paramedic with Primary Instructor endorsement Experience in a municipal fire department is beneficial Ability to work on-site in Mesquite, NV Seniority level
