The Division of Neonatology at the University of Minnesota is seeking a full‑time board certified/eligible Neonatal‑Perinatal Physician at the rank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor on the Academic Track. The successful candidate will provide clinical service at the MHealth Fairview NICUs located at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital and the community sites.

About the Appointment

Level IV NICU at UMMCH (five‑state region), Level III NICUs at Fairview Southdale, Ridges, St. John’s, and Level II at Fairview Woodwinds. Potential to serve Children’s Minnesota NICUs via contract.

Comprehensive care including ECMO, peritoneal and hemodialysis, cardiovascular surgery, and therapeutic hypothermia.

Strong family and team environment; supervision, mentorship, instruction of advanced practice providers, medical students, residents, and fellows; curriculum development responsibilities.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited ACGME Pediatric residency and a Neonatal‑Perinatal fellowship training program.

Board eligible/certified in Neonatal‑Perinatal Medicine.

Licensed or eligible to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice licensure.

DEA certification in Minnesota.

Credentialing and privilege eligibility per university standards.

U.S. work authorization.

Demonstrated clinical experience in newborn intensive care and research interests in neonatal nutrition, neurodevelopment, hematology, global neonatology, ethics, infection/immunology, and education.

Pay and Benefits Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical salary aligned with clinical effort is provided through M Physicians, with a base salary range of $240,000 – $361,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional salary from the University depends on academic effort.
