Develops and provides students with an approved DeVry University syllabus that follows a campus template and includes terminal course objectives. Organizes, prepares, and regularly revises and updates all course materials. Uses appropriate online technologies and course-related software, including websites, e-mail, and online discussions, to prepare the course and make it accessible to students. Models effective oral and written communications that engage students, provide clarity, and improve learning. Sets clear course expectations by publishing terminal objectives, assignment/exam dates, and the weighting of evaluation categories. Ensures that exam content aligns with course terminal objectives and demonstrates consistency and fairness in grading with timely feedback. Completes other duties as assigned. Qualifications
A doctorate in marketing or a doctoral degree in a related field with 15 graduate credit hours in marketing is required. Qualifying credentials must be awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or equivalent. Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply. Faculty must have a minimum of 5 years of professional marketing experience, strong subject matter expertise, and outstanding communication skills. Excellent motivational and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment; able to work collaboratively with diverse groups. Experience teaching in higher education is preferred. Visiting Professor pay is based on level, credit hours taught per 8-week session, and location. DeVry University does not guarantee a specific number of work hours or assignments, which may vary based on the University’s needs and discretion. Pay may vary in most states from $1500 to $2700 per 8-week session. Pay in the states of AZ, CA, IN and PA is paid at an hourly rate of either $22.00/hour or $23.50/hour. Benefits
