Job Description The Technologist Equipment Engineer must have a strong equipment engineering background and experience. They are responsible for the specification, project management, design review and qualification testing of new tools. They work closely with Process Engineering, Maintenance, vendors, and other teams to define, improve and monitor equipment reliability, throughput and process capability. They define, deploy, monitor and improve Preventive Maintenance specifications, EDCSPC on tool parameters, bill of materials and spare parts requirements. They review, analyze and investigate equipment-related scraps and provide root cause analysis and effective corrective actions. They are in-house technical equipment experts with hands-on troubleshooting skills to help bring tools up efficiently after down-tool escalations. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Take ownership of new equipment specification, technical negotiation with vendors, design and documentation review, tool installation, and qualification testing and documentation. Ensure projects stay on schedule while delivering high quality by proactively identifying and correcting capability, reliability and maintenance issues. Generate accurate and detailed documentation for facility, maintenance, stores and process owners. Lead or participate in continuous improvement programs to enhance equipment performance and reliability, maximize MTBF and Operational Uptime (AOU), and minimize MTTR. Provide accurate documentation and training for maintenance and troubleshooting, including established best maintenance practices. Practice gage R&R on critical equipment and consumable-related measurements. Monitor and pursue continuous improvement opportunities across all shifts. Review and evaluate tool and spare parts inputs from Maintenance; provide timely response, proposed timelines and actions for improvements. Respond to scrapped wafers due to equipment or maintenance incidents; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Define and review minimum and maximum spare quantities for critical and long-lead items to maintain inventories for maintenance and repair. Ensure incoming parts meet quality requirements. Generate parts and consumables specifications, checklists and drawings as needed. Establish and review SPC control for equipment parameters. Define tool alarm parameters with the process team; monitor alarm logs and drive proactive actions and yield improvements through design and engineering changes. Manage down-tool situations, provide instructions to support teams, and lead efforts to bring tools back up efficiently. Identify learning and improvement opportunities across functions. Stay informed about new equipment and process technologies applicable to wafer fab applications and implementations. Qualifications

REQUIRED The Equipment Engineer candidate should have at least 10 years of experience with a B.S. or at least 8 years with an M.S. in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering or physical science. Demonstrated technical capability and track record in Wet Etch, Plating, or CMP process equipment. Strong problem-solving ability, organization, and a commitment to quality. Experience includes equipment design and testing (or sustaining), operations, documentation, maintenance, and understanding of wafer-level processes and cleanroom requirements. Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication, strong project management and people skills. Ability to lead or contribute effectively on cross-functional teams. Proficiency with JMP, MS Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. CAD and geometric tolerance experience is highly preferred. Additional Information
