CDS Full Time Event Manager - Product Demonstration The event manager is responsible for recruitment, hiring, and supervision of in‑store product demonstrators. Responsibilities include overseeing product preparation and presentation, training staff, and providing superb service to club members. The role requires strong communication with warehouse managers, vendors, and demonstrators, and participation in new location grand openings.

Job Responsibilities

Recruit, train, and hire part‑time staff.

Oversee product preparation and presentation, ensuring food safety and sanitation.

Train product demonstrators in product preparation and excellent customer service.

Communicate between multiple managers, vendors, and demonstrators.

Direct all activities engaged in successful events, promotion, and sales of vendor products.

Communicate strategies and tactics to achieve sales, service, and operational excellence.

Support the maintenance and ongoing development of corporate governance framework, policies, and procedures.

Collaborate with the District Manager to evaluate event performance metrics and adjust as necessary.

Achieve defined revenue and net income objectives through sales activation, strategy, and expense management.

Optimize customer satisfaction/loyalty through improved operations.

Participate in new location grand openings as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities Direct Reports: Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company‑wide processes, tools and resources.

Indirect Reports: None.

Minimum Qualifications Education: Associate’s Degree required (Bachelor’s preferred).

Experience: 3–5 years in a consumer‑packaged goods company, client‑side or supplier‑side, with knowledge of marketing or related field.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Ability to work independently and prioritize with minimal supervision.

Strong supervisory skills including delegating responsibility, training, and evaluating performance.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Flexible and adaptable to changing projects or business environment.

Track record of building and maintaining customer/client relationships.

Ability to direct, lead, and develop people.

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook).

NEHA Professional Food Handler Certification required.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent.

Two to four years of related experience in retail, hospitality, or food environments.

Detail oriented with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Proven ability to lead high‑performing teams.

Independent judgment and coaching ability.

Flexibility to work in a fast‑paced environment.
