Overview AE2S is seeking a Water Senior Project Manager in Woodbury, MN or Maple Grove, MN. The role is focused on project delivery and business development to support Minnesota operations, working with staff across AE2S geographies and the Water Practice Leader. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, business development, and engineering design related to water supply and distribution systems, and water treatment plant infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Perform diverse project delivery roles (project management, QA/QC, and related execution) for water supply, distribution systems, and water treatment plant infrastructure to deliver innovative water solutions.
Develop and monitor scope, schedule, and budget to provide exceptional client service and build lasting relationships.
Grow regional market and technical presence by prioritizing client pursuits, building client relationships, managing clients, identifying opportunities, and supporting competitive proposals.
Provide technical guidance, leadership, and mentorship to junior engineers within the Water Practice.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field with 10+ years of engineering experience in water supply, treatment, and distribution systems.
Strong understanding of project financials with a track record of delivering on time and on budget while meeting client expectations.
Experience interfacing with clients and leading a project team.
Ability to work within multi-disciplinary projects and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Strong communication skills and ability to work remotely and collaboratively with clients and project teams.
Ability to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business development.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include background checks, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with laws and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience pursuing and winning water projects through competitive RFP/Q processes.
Project management experience.
Knowledge of project financials.
Physical Qualifications
Ability to walk up to 3 miles on uneven terrain.
Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate weights.
May require lifting up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting up to 50 pounds.
Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify issues.
May be required to wear PPE including clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear.
Occasional evenings and weekends may be required with overtime based on workload.
Occasional travel to off-site locations including overnight stays.
