Wastewater Engineer / Senior Project Manager - Woodbury, MN or Maple Grove, MN
The Wastewater Senior Project Manager is a key member of project delivery and business development to support our Minnesota operations, working in conjunction with other Wastewater staff across AE2S geographies and our Wastewater Practice Leader.
Responsibilities
Serve as a technical guidance, senior leadership, and mentor for junior engineers within the Wastewater Practice to empower the team.
Perform a variety of project delivery roles (project management, QA/QC, and execution) as they relate to wastewater.
Own scope, schedule, and budget development, monitoring, and adherence for projects to provide extreme client services and build lasting relationships.
Grow market and technical presence within the region by prioritizing client pursuits, building client relationships, providing client management, identifying opportunities, and supporting competitive proposal pursuits.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
Registration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months
15+ years of consulting experience in wastewater treatment
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business development
Ability to work remotely and manage projects, clients, and project team members
Prior project management experience
All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search) in compliance with applicable laws
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in civil engineering or related field
Proven client relationships
Knowledge of design standards and permitting
Knowledge of Colorado funding programs
Physical Qualifications
Ability to walk up to 3 miles on uneven terrain
Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods
Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate weights
May require lifting up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting up to 50 pounds
Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify causes of errors or defects
May be required to wear PPE including flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear
Occasional evenings and weekends may be required with overtime varying by workload
Occasional travel to off-site locations including overnight stays
