Overview
Senior Quality Engineer at TTM Technologies, Inc. – Publicly Traded US Company, NASDAQ (TTMI). TTM Technologies is a leading global manufacturer of technology solutions including engineered systems, RF components and RF microwave/microelectronic assemblies, and quick-turn PCBs. The role focuses on quality engineering with hands-on, cross-functional problem solving related to RF and Microwave components, modules, and assemblies.
Responsibilities
Become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Quality requirements defined by customer/industry standards (e.g., IPC-6012, IPC-6018, IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001, ANSI-ESD S20.20, AS9102, etc.). Provide training, coaching, and direction to other functions and support decision making and problem solving related to these requirements.
Support activities to maintain certifications/approvals for AS9100 QMS and aerospace customer specifications; continuously evaluate and improve QMS processes, procedures, and documentation to meet evolving business strategies and customer/industry requirements.
Execute Quality strategies and tactical activities to: deliver high-quality products and compliant data items to customers within scheduled dates; ensure compliance to customer and industry requirements; develop cost-effective controls/solutions to reduce quality costs (rework, scrap, warranty escapes).
Provide Quality support across the organization for: Contract/Requirements Review and Planning; Inspection and Test Planning; external audits, visits, program reviews, source inspections; product/process development; Failure Analysis, RCA investigations, and continuous improvement projects.
Track and communicate customer quality issues (rejections, escapes, failures, audit findings) and collaborate with appropriate functions to develop recovery plans, RCCA, and continuous improvement to resolve issues and drive customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with Supply Chain to address supplier quality issues and improve incoming material quality.
Own internal and external customer issues and follow through to ensure lasting service impressions; proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions.
Maintain willingness to challenge established ways of doing things constructively; comply with company policies and programs regarding safety, security, ISO, EEO, OSHA, and the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.
Essential Knowledge and Skills
Full comprehension of ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards is essential.
Familiarity/experience with aerospace products and processes associated with microelectronics.
Good oral and written communication skills are essential.
Ability to apply quality systems knowledge to interpret customer requirements.
Working knowledge of statistics and statistical process control.
Knowledge of inspection methods, techniques, and standards.
Familiar with Lean and Six Sigma continuous improvement methodologies.
Ability to lead in a cross-functional team environment.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Minitab, and web-based tools; strong problem-solving and RCA leadership capabilities.
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
7+ years of quality engineering experience, preferably in the space and defense industry.
Compensation and Benefits TTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, life insurance, disability benefits, paid vacation and holidays. Benefits eligibility begins on the first of the month after date of hire; some positions may offer PTO and holiday benefits only. A reasonable salary range is provided below and may be adjusted for geographic location.
Estimated range: $81,195 - $135,325. Additional compensation may include an annual or quarterly bonus; shift differentials may apply for alternative shifts.
Export Statement Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC. This includes identifying ITAR-controlled product on the manufacturing floor and ensuring access is restricted to U.S. Citizens and U.S. Permanent Residents, recognizing Foreign Person visitors by badge, following authorization procedures for foreign visitors, understanding export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the U.S., and managing vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
