Job Summary Direct and oversee programs and assist with directing the day-to-day operations of a department or unit.

Responsibilities The Online College for Career Advancement (OCCA) advising area engages with online student prospects and current online students across eight programs. Responsibilities include coordinating program maps, assisting with class registration aligned to graduation paths, and collaborating with academic affairs, admissions, financial aid, and related areas to support online students. The department communicates primarily via digital channels to accommodate students across time zones.

Direct day-to-day operations – 30%

Assist in directing day-to-day department operations

Oversee and monitor departmental initiatives, programs, and events – 15%

Manage activities for the department, unit, or function; provide professional services as needed – 15%

Supervise employees: selection, training, and development – 15%

Represent the department at meetings, functions, or other activities – 10%

Assist with budget development and monitoring – 10%

Assume duties of the Chief Officer or Director in their absence – 5%

Supervisor Expectations

Serve as an OCCA point of contact for key campus stakeholders in areas like Academic Affairs and Admissions

Serve as primary source for issue resolution to ensure team goals are achievable

Understand holistic online processes from admission to graduation

Lead coordination between OCCA advising and other departments to enable class enrollment toward graduation

Collaborate with OCCA senior leadership to ensure resource availability for goal achievement

Required Qualifications Required Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a specified field and five (5) years of related work experience. Professional licensure, certification, and/or designation may be required in some areas.

Salary Commensurate with experience.
