AECOM is seeking a highly talented
Marketing Proposal Specialist III
to join our
West Specialist Marketing Team
and work with the
West Region Advisory Services
business development and operations team on pursuits, including partnering in the preparation of formal and informal client solicitations, such as expressions of interest (EOI), requests for qualifications (RFQ), requests for proposals (RFP), and pre-qualification efforts. Advisory Services brings together backgrounds in economics, planning, sustainability and resilience, engineering, and public policy. They integrate strategic consulting with policy and technical expertise to help cities, regional, and other public agencies tackle challenges and serve their constituents. This role supports pursuits and content development with clients/markets, marketing communications, campaigns, account managers (CAMs) and business lines as necessary. Locations considered include but are not limited to: Dallas, TX; Austin, TX; Denver, CO; Chicago, IL; Detroit, MI; Los Angeles, CA; and San Francisco, CA. Responsibilities
Lead medium to large proposals and presentations, and support from capture through to interview stage, with support as required. Support capture managers in developing the win strategy during capture through interview preparation. Create annotated outlines and content plans; provide recommendations to technical teams on section structures. May serve as lead writer and editor for tailored resumes, past performance sections, executive summaries, and/or management approaches for proposals. Facilitate color reviews (Pink and Red team), quality reviews, and apply lessons learned to add value to proposals. Manage the implementation of proposal and presentation revisions based on direction from review teams. Participate by providing recommendations in go/no-go and greenlight analyses in alignment with delegation of authority guidelines and capture positioning activities for proposal preparation. Complete internal debriefs for proposals they lead and leverage past pursuit debrief information. Support team during win/loss debriefs and gathering of client feedback to demonstrate continuous improvement. May support marketing or pursuits strategy and content development related to clients/markets, marketing communications, campaigns, CAMs and business lines, as necessary. Coach entry level proposal team members. Perform a self-check of work prior to submitting to others for review/approval. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements BA/BS plus 4 years of experience collaborating within a marketing team to lead and/or support proposal activity or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Developed understanding of effective proposal and presentation writing and production. Preferred Qualifications BA/BS in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing or a related field. Working knowledge of and interest in the A/E industry, including AECOM’s projects, people, credentials, and competitors is highly preferred. Detailed knowledge of marketing best practices and procedures, work processes, and tools. Strong working knowledge of InDesign, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat. Working knowledge of collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, etc. CRM Salesforce experience is a plus. Ability to manage multiple projects and details concurrently, follow up, and bring tasks to full completion. Ability to produce accurate, compliant, and compelling work independently and with others. Experience demonstrating leadership qualities. Excellent writing skills with attention to detail. Proven organizational and administrative skills, including ability to complete varied tasks on schedule and manage documents. Additional Information
