Overview

Systems Administrator with Security Clearance Serves as a Systems Administrator on a major IT support contract for the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) Information Systems Directorate (G6). Responsibilities

Performs Windows Server systems administration including troubleshooting, monitoring, and support. Monitors Windows event and performance; manages hosted systems software platforms. Resolves basic and intermediate issues related to system configuration management, resource sharing, and basic networking troubleshooting. Resolves security issues including identity management, records retention, and implements destruction policies. Uses and writes operating system commands and scripts; manages disk configurations; maintains hardware and software RAID 1-N; performs migration, backup, and recovery using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ruby, Perl). Supports performance tuning, capacity planning, bottleneck resolution, administration of Microsoft Servers, building and maintaining high-availability, clustered and scalable systems, and load balancing. Maintains production environments using automated install, automated build and deployment, automated configuration management, enterprise monitoring systems, server virtualization, load balancing, web servers, and application servers. Qualifications

Bachelor\'s Degree and 7 years\' experience; experience or education/training/certifications may substitute for degree. Experience in VMware systems administration (troubleshooting and monitoring). Experience resolving complex issues in configuration management, resource sharing, and basic networking troubleshooting. Experience resolving security issues including identity management, records retention, and destruction policies. Experience using and writing OS commands and scripts, and scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ruby, Perl). Experience with performance tuning, capacity planning, bottleneck resolution, high-availability/clustered systems, ASP.NET and related web technologies; production environment management with automated install/build/deploy/configuration management, enterprise monitoring, server virtualization, load balancing, web servers, and application servers. Experience with Windows Server and Linux operating systems and related configuration tools is desirable. Experience or working knowledge of Kubernetes is desirable. Experience/exposure to cloud infrastructure services (e.g., Azure) is desirable. Education or certification in IT disciplines related to the program area (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer/Software Engineering, MIS, Cyber/Security). Must possess current Security+ (or equivalent DoD Directive 8570.1 IAT II) clearance (DoD Secret). Position details
