Position overview
Our client, a global life sciences company specializing in medtech/medical devices, is looking for an Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer to help drive new strategic initiatives in the Princeton, NJ area. The ideal candidate will have 20+ years of legal experience, including as GC in the life sciences and medical technology industry, preferably at a public company. Prior management experience preferred.
Responsibilities
Serve as principal legal advisor to the Company and Board of Directors on issues involving legal, governance, risk management, and compliance matters, as well as complex commercial transactions.
Report to the CEO and provide strategic legal leadership in life sciences/medical devices context.
Partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives and risk management.
Qualifications
20+ years of legal experience, ideally with GC/CLO experience in the life sciences/medtech sector.
Experience as GC in a life sciences/medical technology industry, preferably at a public company.
Prior management experience preferred.
Salary: Base annual salary is expected to start in the mid-$500K range, depending on qualifications and experience.
