Rail Engineering Lecturer — East Kent College Based at Eastchurch Campus, with some delivery at other sites as required. This role focuses on teaching, training and assessing students in Rail Engineering to a high-quality standard, drawing on industry experience to inspire and support learners. Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and practical lessons to a diverse range of learners Train and assess students to at least Level 2 NVQ standard in Rail Engineering Provide support and guidance to help learners achieve their potential Lead designated study programmes or courses, including design, delivery and evaluation of the curriculum Ensure lessons reflect current industry practices and standards Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports all learners Role Details
Based primarily at Eastchurch Campus, teaching community and Category D prisoners from Standford Hill on day release Some delivery may also take place at Dover/ Shepherdswell site What We’re Looking For

Is organised, creative, and communicates well with people from all backgrounds Has a positive, supportive approach and can bring out the best in every learner Demonstrates strong classroom management skills and a passion for developing others Ideally has teaching or training experience; if not, full teacher training and support will be provided Ready to apply?

There are two salary scales for Lecturer positions. All candidates start at the introductory scale unless criteria are met. Lecturers may move to the higher scale after one full academic year, subject to approval. Internal applicants may qualify for the higher scale; please seek clarification. About Us
