We seek an experienced field foreman with excellent organizational, leadership, management, and communication skills. Position requires routine interaction between managers, clients, suppliers, and team members. Responsibilities
Plans and supervises activities including determining the method of construction, sequencing, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, and work schedule Trains and manages other field staff Directs day-to-day activities of the construction operation through assigned Foremen With the Project Manager, creates and maintains project schedules; plans, monitors, and reviews critical path dates and milestone schedules Communicates site problems, conflicts, schedules, and quality issues effectively to the Project Manager and owner Resolves field construction problems Maintains open communication between all subcontractors to ensure materials, equipment, inspections, etc., support project activities and schedule Monitors field staff and subcontractor compliance with project safety program requirements; ensures weekly safety inspections and toolbox talks are completed and corrective actions implemented Assists the Safety Department in incident/accident investigations and follow-up Understands subcontractors’ scopes and ensures they maintain schedules and quality to meet contract requirements Assists the Project Manager with subcontractor disputes, quality control, and schedule coordination Ensures work complies with drawings and specifications; supports cost and schedule forecasting Assists in Change Order review and project close-out; ensures punch lists are completed in a timely manner Mentors Project Associates assigned to the project Qualifications
A minimum of three years experience on construction projects in a Healthcare Foreman or Healthcare General Foreman role (or higher) Ability to read and interpret construction documents Effective communication skills Knowledge of construction scheduling, cost control, and ability to supervise small to midsized groups Good organization, multi-tasking, leadership, and decision-making ability Basic computer skills preferred Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.
