We are seeking a candidate to support the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program by joining the Coordination/Correlation Team as a Systems Engineer Manager. The team owns and manages interface requirement documentation that imposes requirements on subsystems internal to the missile, as well as LM facilities and Support Equipment involved with production missile processing for the Trident II ballistic missile (commonly known as the D5LE missile) and now the development of the D5LE2 missile.
We have a Weapon System level view of the FBM Program with activities related to integrating the D5LE and D5LE2 missile into the submarine weapon system, as well as supporting efforts to integrate missile subsystems into the flight vehicle. You will play an integral role on this team by taking on the following key responsibilities:
Overseeing the Coordination/Correlation group in managing/coordinating the review, analysis, and response to system level requirements and requirement changes to the Weapons System for the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program, specifically Missile interfaces.
Ensuring that customer requirements are met and implemented by working closely with the Customer, coordinating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Management, Customers, DoD, and Active Duty Military/Navy.
Ensuring consistent interpretation and application of relevant Enterprise and Program command media.
Providing mentorship and development of Coordination/Correlation team members in partnership with the ASC Managers.
Establishing and updating Coordination/Correlation Processes and Procedures.
Overseeing and managing the team’s efforts across multiple areas within the FBM Program to ensure the interface requirement documentation that imposes requirements on subsystems internal to the missile, as well as LM facilities and Support Equipment involved with production missile processing processes, are implemented consistently.
Managing documentation release priorities to ensure programmatic commitments are achieved, and resolving emergent challenges in a timely manner.
Facilitating and incorporating new Development processes in unclassified and classified areas.
Effectively communicating technical information in written or verbal form to the customer and other members of the program as required.
Ensuring strong attention to detail, being organized, and committing to excellence and ownership in the creation of the team’s work products.
Being flexible with continuous change and improvements and having the ability to help create change.
Desired Skills

Communication Skills
Performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
Performing analyses at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
Ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Performing functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Microsoft Office (Excel/Word) Proficient
Proficient with Correspondence – grammar and formatting.
