Overview
We are seeking a Systems Engineering Co-Op to join our team in Cedar Rapids, IA. The Systems Engineering Co-Op (Summer/Fall 2026) is an onsite role within the Avionics Computing Products department. You will be part of a multi-functional team of systems and hardware engineers leading the development of all computing products for the Avionics Business Unit. Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday–Friday co-op session that will run May/June–December (including the Fall semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity). What You Will Do
Capture system requirements, design, test cases, and test procedures Integrate, validate, and verify system functionality in the lab Technical collaboration among design functional domains Assist in resolving technical problems that cross functional domain areas What You Will Learn
How to navigate through the complex regulatory compliance requirements of the FAA and EASA Complex project coordination using Agile framework Complex troubleshooting skills that cross functional domains Avionics safety critical system design and compliance to DO-178C, DO-254 Qualifications You Must Have
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract Qualifications We Prefer
