Collins Aerospace is seeking a Software Engineering Co-op for Summer/Fall 2026. Location: Cedar Rapids, IA. This role focuses on developing and supporting real-time embedded software for processing platforms used in commercial avionics products and cockpit display systems. What You Will Do

Support the design, development, and maintenance of flight-critical embedded software for commercial aviation solutions and avionics products Contribute to cross-functional engineering project teams responsible for the design, development, and verification of real-time embedded software Support activities related to requirements specification, software implementation, test case development, verification testing, and certification support Work with desktop computers in an office environment and with target hardware in an engineering lab to deliver a high-quality software product within schedule and cost constraints What You Will Learn

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. Student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future Qualifications We Prefer

Demonstrated interest in embedded software solutions and board-level device drivers Programming experience in C, C++ and/or Python Comfortable with real-time operating systems and object-oriented programming concepts Experience with all phases of the software development life cycle Energetic and proactive self-starter with strong interpersonal and communications skills Learn More and Apply Now
