Position Overview The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program provides an operational platform for planning, monitoring, and controlling missile defense operations. The candidate will work with a team of systems engineers, technologists, and algorithm developers across contracts and IRADs. Required experience includes systems engineering, algorithm design, systems analysis, and software engineering, with working proficiency in Java and Python. Knowledge in estimation, statistics, machine learning, and numerical computation is preferred. Strong technical writing skills are required for documenting algorithms.
Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field (Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related) with 5 years of experience; or a Master’s degree (preferred) with 3 years of experience; or a PhD with 1 year of experience
Current active DoD Top Secret clearance at the time of application and ability to start with that clearance
Mathematical background and algorithm experience in at least one of the following: Optimization
Machine learning
State estimation
Experience in systems analysis and Sabremetrics-like studies focused on trend identification, process improvement, and error reduction
Software Quality Engineering and related disciplines, including Systems Engineering Methodologies (Model-Based and DoDAF)

Primary Level Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
