Project Engineer role at REEDER Construction. The Project Engineer provides critical assistance and administrative support to the Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, and field operations team. This role\'s primary responsibilities include organizing, documenting, and managing the flow of information throughout the project lifecycle. Key focus areas include monitoring and managing submittals, RFIs, scheduling, and maintaining accurate records of meetings. Additionally, the Project Engineer plays a vital role in coordinating and executing the project closeout process. Responsibilities
Assist with on-site management to ensure project success Ensure project plan is moving forward to meet anticipated deadlines Responsible for RFI and submittal process Processes owner billings and project related accounting issues Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or Similar Experiences Basic knowledge of construction documents, specifications, and processes Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and commitment to quality Collaborative mindset and ability to work within a team environment Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Outbuild, or similar tools) Strong computer skills and fluency in MS Project Suite, Bluebeam (or similar) & SketchUp Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Effective verbal and written communication skills OSHA 30 CPR/First Aid Procore - Project Management Outbuild - Scheduling MS Excel Preconstruction & Estimating
Liaison for Preconstruction and Estimating: provide technical support by analyzing project requirements, interpreting design documents, and assisting with quantity take-offs to support cost estimates; collaborate with estimating team; identify constructability issues and support value engineering. Document Control
Maintain an updated and organized set of construction and contract documents, ensuring revisions are recorded in Procore & RGC Server and distributed to necessary parties. Verify that field and office personnel work with the most current information via Procore, RGC Server and print. Subcontracts and Buy Out
Develop knowledge of contract documents and REEDER\'s subcontract, plans, specifications and applicable building codes. Know scope to assist purchasing team. Scheduling
Assist with data input, maintenance of the project Master Schedule, and distribute the 6-week lookahead. RFI
Own the RFI process: define, create & manage submittals & logs to track the critical path for approval of submittals and release of materials. Meetings
Schedule, participate in, and document all job meetings, preconstruction meetings, safety meetings, owner-architect and coordination meetings. Proposal
Assist with distributing information from source documents to affected subcontractors and gather information/pricing; build proposals for review. Closeout
Lead project closeout and related submittals as a primary responsibility. Safety
Actively monitor and promote safe practices on-site; conduct site inspections; ensure safety requirements are integrated into plans and schedules; coordinate with subcontractors; participate in incident investigations as needed. Equal Employment Opportunity
