Job Title: Lead Release Train Engineer
Job Profile: We are seeking a motivated Value Stream Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in optimizing the flow of value through our systems and processes, ensuring that our teams deliver high‑quality products efficiently and effectively. You will leverage your strong background in Lean and Agile methodologies, excellent analytical skills, and passion for continuous improvement while leading Scrum Masters within the Commercial Value Stream.
Responsibilities and Impact:
Act as a servant leader to agile teams, enhancing efficiencies and performance in Agile practices, focusing on delivering customer value.
Collaborate with Product Management, Agile Team Members, and other stakeholders to align on value delivery and initiative prioritization.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies, such as PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, and System Demos, ensuring team and stakeholder alignment.
Identify and manage dependencies and risks, promoting communication and collaboration among teams.
Remove impediments by identifying appropriate personnel and solutions.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives, implementing best practices and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
Mentor and guide Scrum Masters, ensuring effective practices and facilitating professional development.
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $110,000 – $150,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role. Basic Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience facilitating 2+ PI Planning readiness and PI planning events.
3-5 years of experience in process improvement, Lean management, and Agile methodologies within the financial industry for software development teams, including some managerial experience.
Strong understanding of Lean principles, value stream mapping, and waste reduction techniques.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Proven experience in leading and mentoring Scrum Masters, fostering collaboration and effective practices.
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with familiarity in Agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Teams, and SharePoint.
Relevant certifications, such as Lean Six Sigma, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
