Base pay range

$130,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

Your impact We’re looking for an experienced and collaborative Construction Senior Project Manager who thrives at keeping people in sync and bringing creative solutions to projects’ unique challenges. You’ll be part of the Program team in the Triangle Area of North Carolina, managing a large-scale K12 Capital Construction Program. You’ll design and construct crucial schools that educate the next generation of American students and work with Engineers, Project Managers, and project Contractors. You’ll be empowered to deliver bold solutions for everyday living.

As the onsite Owner’s Representative, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of project success, including ensuring progress and technical performance of the project, contract management, project scope, schedule, budget, change management, project governance, and successful turnover to the client. You’ll manage the project development from conception through completion in alignment with program objectives, lead project team members, provide construction oversight, resolve issues, mentor staff, build client relationships, contribute to program strategy, and support program leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead on-site Owner’s Representative responsibilities across project scope, schedule, budget, and governance.

Oversee contract management and change control to ensure project alignment with program objectives.

Manage multiple projects concurrently, provide leadership to the project team, and resolve complex construction issues.

Mentor staff, develop long-term client relationships, and participate in program strategy development.

Collaborate with clients, engineers, project managers, and contractors to deliver high-quality facilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline, Construction Management, or Architecture

10+ years of experience in construction involving multiple phases of large-scale building/rehabilitation projects

Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, demonstrate leadership, and resolve critical issues for project and client needs

Strong knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, contract management, project delivery methods, building systems/components, and technology

Ideally, you’ll also have

Prior experience with K-12 building construction and/or other public projects and large programs

Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect license/certification

The base salary range for this position is $130,000.00 to $150,000.00. Within the range, pay is determined by work location and factors such as job-related skills, experience, and education.
