Job Cost Controller To be a successful Job-Cost Manager

you should possess strong project accounting skills and ensure the accuracy of the invoice process.

What You’ll Be Doing

Calculate or review monthly revenue calculations based on ASC 606 requirements within the monthly closing timeframe.

Review EAC for construction contracts/task orders as part of the revenue calculation process.

Review and recommend corrections or changes to proposals and contract and/or modification documents prior to submission and/or execution. Assist with pricing development for proposals.

Help develop new projects/contracts in Costpoint and maintain throughout the life of the contract. Maintain award and modification information in Business Development reporting spreadsheet/workbook.

Produce project related financial reports for management, as needed or requested, including Project Status Report, Labor Summary Report, Backlog, etc.

Prepare subcontractor cost accruals for the month end close process.

Facilitate project level forecast meetings each month with general managers for company level roll up as part of monthly reporting.

Oversee project coding and maintain Project Employee workforce.

Assist with maintaining/reviewing Indirect cost pools.

Assist with monthly financials reports via monthly review for each LLC.

Review unbilled reconciliation at each unbilled level of the projects monthly.

Implement deadlines for invoicing and payment collection. Develop and implement debt collection policies and regulations of the company.

Review monthly AR Aging reports and ensure action/status on overdue invoices.

Review and post all project-related cash receipt entries for the company.

Identify and resolve billing issues, answer AR inquiries, and follow up as needed.

Supervise, develop, and mentor local Job Cost team members and report to Job Cost Controller.

Keep abreast of regulatory GAAP requirements and best practices in accounting.

Cross train with other positions as needed to cover for outages.

Be highly responsive and flexible in a multi-project, fast-paced environment.

Performs incidental tasks related to the position as well as various duties, as assigned, to support the overall objectives/goals of the team while maintaining a positive attitude.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or another related field. Education and Experience Requirements may be substituted as follows:

Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or other related field AND eight (8) years of related experience.

OR ten (10) years of related experience.

At least four (4) years of related experience.

Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and familiar with ASC 606 for Contract revenue.

Strong knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and familiarity with DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Supplement).

Experience with accounting software such as Deltek Costpoint and general ledger and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.

The ability to work accurately and independently.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office 365, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Previous experience in Alaska Native Corporations preferred.

Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
