Engineering: Prepare complex engineering deliverables (process models, mass balance calculations, design criteria/basis of design memoranda, process flow diagrams, P&IDs, tradeoff studies, master planning studies); serve as a technical specialist in conventional and/or emerging wastewater treatment systems; perform applied research (bench, pilot, full-scale) and incorporate data into process models; develop recommendations for treatment processes, equipment and materials; oversee data management for process modeling and design; carry out complex engineering calculations; manage budget, schedule, and quality; may lead production teams or coordinate multiple disciplines; develop life cycle cost estimates; actively coordinate with internal and external teams for project execution. Client Focus: Identify key client interests and drivers; communicate client needs to project teams; develop creative solutions; support business development and pursuit activities (pre-positioning, proposals, client interviews, winning sales messages); attend and present on wastewater projects and thought leadership at conferences. People Management: Foster knowledge sharing; mentor junior engineers; participate in performance management, career development, and training. Engineering Standards: Provide guidance on design guides, standards, and engineering codes related to water quality and treatment; assist in maintaining and updating engineering standards; provide technical guidance to project teams. Quality / Continuous Improvement: Apply quality program requirements; provide guidance to others; support continuous improvement and change management efforts. Resource Management: Implement resource management strategy; manage engineering resources for small groups. Administrative: Ensure policies and procedures are effectively communicated; ensure adherence to corporate and division programs; may approve expense reports. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering; minimum of 11 years related experience; ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records, as applicable). Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering; 10 years of wastewater treatment experience with emphasis on water quality and treatment; advanced knowledge of municipal wastewater treatment design; experience with process simulators (BioWin, GPS-X, Sumo, Simba#); established leadership skills in consulting, project execution, client services, and business development; strong written and oral communication, leadership, planning, and team-building abilities. Certifications: Professional engineering license (USA) or ability to obtain within 2 years of employment. Field/Work Environment: Hybrid or flexible schedules after 90 days; typical office and field environments with associated safety considerations; physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
