Ensuring end user adoption for GIS technologies, including data collection and development, data QA/QC, general analysis / map production and training users on GIS software. Perform GIS analytical and geo-processing functions including input, editing, manipulation, management, analysis and output of spatial and tabular data sets using ArcGIS or other GIS software. Develop vector spatial analysis models using ModelBuilder, Python, or other GIS scripting languages. Develop geodatabase schemas and analysis methods needed to support project goals. Prepare written documentation describing methodologies/procedures and prepare exhibits. Maintain GIS data and cataloging system. Work with users to understand and produce special purpose maps Maintain and enhance geospatial data for projects Obtain data from a variety of non-GIS sources and incorporate that data into a GIS project Possess the ability to work in a group or independently Work with a group to complete projects on time. Problem solve when GIS support is unavailable Make estimates of skills and time required to complete projects. Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Computer Science or related field. In lieu of Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 4 years of experience or an Associate's degree and 2 years of experience. Master's degree counts as 1 year of experience. About Freese And Nichols
