Join H&R Block as a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional. You’ll serve clients with diverse tax needs with the support of an expert team and advanced tax training to help you succeed. What you’ll do
Inspire clients to make confident, informed decisions about their lives, careers, and money by building strong client relationships that grow over time. Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email). Prepare complete and accurate tax returns. Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services. Provide clients with IRS support. Support and mentor teammates. Note: Enrollment in or completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment is neither an offer nor a guarantee of employment.
Qualifications and expertise
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; high school diploma or equivalent or higher. Certifications: CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification. Experience: 5+ years in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax; experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership); experience conducting virtual tax interviews; experience with tax planning and audit support; experience completing individual returns. Skills: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment; proficient with virtual tools (video, phone, chat); strong written and spoken communication. Compliance: Must complete continuing education requirements and meet IRS and applicable state requirements. Role specifics
