Position Summary

In partnership with the Director of Safety & Asset Protection and ADUSA Distribution & Transportation Campus Leadership, provide direction and support to a designated ADUSA campus to deliver positive/proactive leadership and instruction in security and asset protection. Lead and execute asset protection, safety and security strategies for the DC to foster a safe working environment, protect company assets, associates and operations through proactive risk mitigation, compliance enforcement and investigative excellence. This is accomplished while preventing crime and loss through policies, procedures, technology, strategies and training programs, in alignment with ADUSA Distribution & Transportation core values. Work with Regional and Site Leadership. This position has a dotted line reporting relationship to the distribution center Campus Director. Responsibilities

Lead and manage the security and asset protection function at the designated distribution center, including transportation oversight and compliance. Oversee safety and security of personnel, property, and facilities; ensure policy compliance and maintain effective cross-team communication. Recruit, train, coach, and manage security personnel; oversee staffing plans, address employee issues, and ensure contract compliance. Oversee security inspections of facilities on campus and distribution security processes; conduct audits and internal control reviews and report findings to supply chain/site leadership. Support and lead emergency preparedness drills (e.g., tornado, fire, etc.). Distribution Security / Asset Control

Manage, test and maintain physical security systems (CCTV, intrusion alarms, fire alarms, access control, lighting, fencing, perimeter control) in compliance with company, state and federal regulations. Identify security risks and develop remediation plans for inventory control and preventing unauthorized entry. Develop programs to educate and raise awareness of shrink and security controls. Develop short and long-term asset protection strategies and implement initiatives to provide a safe working environment and protect company assets from theft and losses. Maintain compliance with FDA, DEA, and Customs/Homeland Security requirements. Manage and/or conduct audits across distribution centers. Develop and implement comprehensive security plans during labor disputes, civil unrest, emergencies and weather-related incidents. Prepare and manage the annual asset protection budget for appropriate distribution center(s). Drive operational programs and system enhancements (QA, Inbound/Outbound, data and reporting buildouts, etc.). Protect sensitive customer, associate and company information by adhering to information security practices and policies; oversee vendor adherence to policies and report breaches. Data & Analysis Reporting

Analyze operational, safety and loss data to identify trends, root causes and areas for improvement. Make informed decisions and provide strategic recommendations based on data insights to reduce risk and enhance operations. Maintain accurate records of incidents, investigations and compliance audits. Report key metrics and trends to leadership and recommend strategic improvements. Investigations and Legal Proceedings

Manage and conduct asset protection investigations within scope, including theft, burglary, threats, violence, harassment, EEOC issues, and Wage and Hour matters; coordinate with Labor Relations, HR, Legal and Site/Regional Leadership. Serve as primary liaison with Corporate Counsel, Labor Relations/HR, Government Agencies, Law Enforcement, and other stakeholders. Provide expert testimony in designated civil or criminal litigation and participate in the union grievance process as applicable. Safety

Ensure facility compliance with fire and safety standards; assist in implementing safety programs to create a safe work environment. Assist in accident investigations as needed and maintain a close working relationship with the safety department. Knowledge

Knowledge of Wicklander-Zulawski or Reed training practices. Strong knowledge of safety regulations, investigative techniques and loss prevention technologies. Knowledge of city, county and state penal codes related to security protocols, theft, arrest and investigation procedures. Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Responds to emergency calls during weekends and off-duty periods. Other Requirements

Must be able to work the required schedule onsite (no hybrid). Ability to work in environments from -5 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit; variable conditions across departments. Work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks, indoor/outdoor). On-call availability for emergencies and critical incidents. Minimal travel (5%).
