The Opportunity Work with multi-discipline teams to develop design materials for heavy civil works projects such as generation, power infrastructure (transmission, distribution, substations), solar, wind, dams, buried infrastructure, tunnels, etc. Perform analysis, design calculations, sketches, and geotechnical design reports to meet project requirements. Perform, coordinate, and manage geotechnical field investigations. Coordinate, manage, observe, and document geotechnical construction activities such as grouting, ground improvement, deep foundations, retaining walls, etc. The Team As part of BV Operations, projects support Governments & Environment, Energy & Process Industries, and Connectivity & Commercial sectors. Roles include Engineers, Technicians, and Skilled Specialists working on projects globally. The team emphasizes collaboration, inclusivity, and continuous development. Key Responsibilities Coordinate internal teams and resources while understanding client interests and needs. Develop structural technical specifications, plans, and details for projects such as power generation facilities, substations, transmission lines, solar sites, dams, canals, flood control projects, municipal water, wastewater, and pipelines. Plan, design, and oversee geotechnical aspects for projects both in the office and in the field. Travel for field assignments as required (field time estimated at 20–40%). Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of experience supporting geotechnical/heavy civil projects. Experience with geotechnical investigations, grouting, ground improvement, deep foundations, and retaining walls. Master's Degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering preferred. Active Engineering-In-Training (EIT) preferred. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program. Minimum of 5 years related work experience. Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, MVR, etc.) as required by law and policy. Certifications Active Engineering-In-Training (EIT) license and actively pursuing Professional Engineering (PE) license. Work Environment/Physical Demands Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days, subject to manager discretion and role requirements. Typical office and construction environments, with exposure to extreme weather, high noise, safety hazards, fumes, dust, and working at heights. Physical demands include sitting, walking, keyboarding, driving, and ability to lift/carry up to 40 pounds.
