Overview This role is within the Advanced Manufacturing Group. The team delivers cost-effective and transformative projects to the specialty chemical, electric vehicle, manufacturing, metals, pulp and paper and various other markets. We’re looking for an experienced HVAC Designer to join our Building Mechanical team to help deliver innovative HVAC design solutions for heavy industrial clients. You will work with engineers and designers performing field investigations, interfacing with clients and vendors, sizing and selecting equipment, and preparing construction design packages.
Responsibilities
Layout and design of HVAC systems
Development of conceptual and preliminary design documents, including calculations for sizing and selecting systems, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements
Development of final construction documents for HVAC systems (e.g., chilled water, cooling water)
Coordination with other disciplines
Qualifications
At least ten (10) years of experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities
Proficiency in Revit
Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design
Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines
Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely
Ideally you’ll also have
Software experience in AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D
Experience in the design of plumbing/utility systems
