Assess, diagnose, and manage the care of critically ill neonates in the NICU Provide direct clinical care in a Neonatal ICU inpatient setting; conduct medical histories, perform complete physical examinations, and initiate appropriate labs, radiology tests, and other evaluations Perform routine and specialized procedures as credentialed; may prescribe and monitor medications Participate in medical team rounds; collaborate with physicians, nursing and other medical personnel Educate patient families and answer questions regarding disease, treatments, medications, side effects, and hazards Refer patients to specialists as appropriate Be a collaborative member of an interdisciplinary care team with advanced communication skills Position Details
Full Time (.9 FTE) Shifts are 12 and 24 hours Level II & III Neonatal Intensive Care Units On-campus practice at Creighton University Bergan Mercy Medical Center (level III NICU) with potential care at CHI Lakeside Hospital (level III NICU) and CHI Immanuel Hospital (level II NICU) after orientation Collaborative, experienced teams of Neonatologists, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses and Support Staff Benefits
