Our client is seeking a strategic and results-driven
National Account Manager, Walgreens
to lead business development, sales strategy, and account management for our portfolio within the Walgreens and Ulta Beauty channels. Reporting to the VP of Sales, Drug & Specialty, this role will be responsible for driving top-line growth, profitability, and long-term strategic partnerships through strong analytical, strategic, and relationship management skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing large national retail accounts, preferably within beauty, cosmetics, or personal care, and will thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. MUST HAVE WALGREENS EXPERIENCE Key Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of the Walgreens and Rite Aid business including strategic planning, pricing strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. Develop and execute annual business plans and quarterly goals in collaboration with the VP of Sales, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. Manage and track budgets including shipments, ad spend, markdowns, returns, and miscellaneous spending to ensure profitability and adherence to P&L goals. Serve as primary liaison between Walgreens/Rite Aid teams and internal cross-functional partners, ensuring timely communication, alignment, and flawless program execution. Oversee planogram execution, display development, and promotional planning to drive brand visibility and sales performance. Conduct regular business reviews and present actionable insights to leadership based on market trends, category performance, and competitor analysis. Maintain robust internal documentation including ad calendars, display trackers, and project updates for visibility across teams. Partner with finance and sales to determine pricing, forecasting, and ROI for new product development initiatives. Foster strong relationships with buyers and key stakeholders to expand distribution, negotiate programs, and deliver category growth. Travel as needed (approximately 30%) for account meetings, business planning, and trade events. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. 7+ years of progressive sales experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership or national account management role. Proven experience managing major retail accounts; background in cosmetics, beauty, or personal care strongly preferred. Strong analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills with an ability to translate data into actionable strategies. Experience managing P&L, forecasting, pricing, and trade marketing budgets. Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multiple teams and levels. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with sales reporting tools a plus.
