Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Assistant - Seasonal for the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research. The position involves providing direct support of ongoing research projects at the Center. Studies may include those studying off‑label drugs, cancer, and a wide‑range of topics under the field of pharmacoepidemiology.

Provides research‑specific support to PIs.

Supports all aspects of a study – including, but not limited to: conducting scientific literature reviews, analytic support, abstraction support, working on off‑shoot grant proposals, providing scientific support to regulatory documentation, creation of code lists and data tables, and providing project support.

Supports projects by focusing on the tasks directly related to completing funded research projects, and/or providing support towards the scientific elements of grant submissions.

Assists with grant submissions, protocol and manuscript development.

Salary Details $20 - $25 hourly

Offer Information The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. We also take into consideration market benchmarks and internal equity to ensure fair compensation relative to the university’s broader compensation structure.

Position Status Part Time

Working Hours 20 - 25 hours per week

Work Arrangement Consistent with Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The flexible work arrangements are part of a pilot program effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2023 and are not guaranteed beyond that date. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant laboratory technician, research study experience carrying out research protocols and tests or other technical work.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree.
