Responsible for overseeing various accounting functions such as the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other month end close activities. Essential Functions
Processing of accounts payable invoices, check requests, and expense reports. Ensure proper coding, approval, and accuracy. Processing of accounts receivable invoices and cash receipts postings. Identify and implement process efficiencies where possible. Input data into accounting system with accuracy. Oversee the organization of accounting files for vendors and customers. Researching and resolving accounts payable or accounts receivable issues with customers and vendors. Support all internal and external audit processes. Assist with month-end close and reconciliation of various accounts. Provide analytical, administrative, clerical, and project support to management. Data entry and filing as needed. Other job-related activities. Requirements
Qualifications
Five years of accounting experience Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Excel required (filtering, pivot, advanced functions, etc) Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Powerpoint Knowledge of Visio or alternative flow chart tool and experience with writing process narratives and procedures is a plus Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent Bachelors’ degree in Accounting preferred Competencies
High attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational skills Customer service oriented with strong problem solving skills Strong personal ethics and the ability to demonstrate conduct conforming to a set of corporate values and accepted standards Strong ownership spirit and the ability to accept responsibility for his/her actions Maintains a culture of continuous process improvements that promote seamless integration of business and accounting processes Intellectual curiosity that promotes individual career development Positive attitude, especially when working under pressure and in stressful situations Responsible to internal and external company requests for financial information Proactive team member with excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with team members to achieve established objectives Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem Willingness to work overtime when necessary to meet deadlines Work Environment/Physical Demands
