Power EPC Senior Consultant at Talisman Advisory Partners
Responsibilities
Manage reliability compliance policies and procedures associated with generation and transmission assets in the U.S.
Lead Compliance Team and regional management with compliance efforts
Track and prepare for new and revised NERC Standards that impact the business
Maintain/implement annual Reliability Compliance schedule/calendar for both generation and transmission assets
Ensure that Compliance deadlines are met
Work with Regional Subject Matter Experts to organize and maintain reliability compliance evidences necessary for reporting and audit activities, and create plans for audit preparation and mitigation activities
Maintain procedure library for NERC Registered Entities as well as electronic document management for the Reliability Compliance Group
Manage subscriptions and data input for self-certifications with regional reliability organization compliance portals
Provide training/guidance to regional operations staff as needed
Develop and manage compliance budget
Recommend changes and modifications to programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable reliability standards
Lead both internal and external compliance audits
Participate in regional reliability organization workshops and seminars
Requirements
A minimum of 10 years of electric utility industry experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a reliability compliance management role is required
Strong knowledge of NERC 693 (O&P) and CIP Standards
Basic knowledge of electrical generation and transmission
Ability to expand and manage a reliability compliance program suitable to ensure the continued compliance of assets
Experience in managing capital and OM&A
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and to adapt quickly to changing priorities
Ability to effect and manage change
Strong leadership skills; ability to provide direction and coaching to team
Proven ability to build and manage solid teams
Ability to influence others and to gain support for the project
Ability to deal effectively with external stakeholders
Strong communication skills (oral and written)
Education
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent experience is required. An Electrical Power Systems degree is a plus.
