The Sonographer manages and performs all abdominal, gynecological, obstetrical, small parts, peripheral vascular and cerebrovascular ultrasound examinations. Demonstrates excellent comprehension and knowledge of anatomy and disease and can communicate this to the Radiologist. Trained in the appropriate use of color Doppler techniques and other advanced imaging techniques. Capable of working independently to obtain all necessary clinical information for the Radiologist to make a diagnosis. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Registered ARDMS or ARRT(US) Vascular experience required, registry (RVT, CCI, or ARRT-Vascular US) required within 6 months of hire. American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Providers Proficient computer skills Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing Education
Certificate or Registry of Diagnostic Imaging accredited program Team Member Competencies

This job can be physically demanding at times, requiring stooping, sitting, standing, and walking for long periods. The team member may need to assist lifting patients and heavy equipment. Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, make sound decisions, be detail-oriented, alert, and self-motivated. Ability to push/pull up to 40 lbs and carry and lift up to 50 lbs. Threshold Requirements
Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation TB/PPD Surveillance Program Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s) Seniority level
