HR & Payroll Specialist - On-Site at Asure Software. This is an on-site position located in Virginia Beach, VA. Asure Software is a provider of HCM software and services helping companies grow their people and stay compliant. Responsibilities

Onboarding & Offboarding: Coordinate all pre-employment activities including background checks, documentation, and new hire orientation; prepare and process new hire paperwork and ensure accurate setup in HR systems; conduct onboarding sessions to familiarize new hires with company policies, benefits, and procedures; manage the offboarding process including exit interviews, termination documentation, and final pay coordination. Benefits Administration: Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, enroll/update/terminate employees in benefit programs, and liaise with benefit vendors to ensure accurate processing; assist in annual benefits open enrollment and employee communications. Payroll Processing: Collect and process time and attendance records; coordinate with Finance/Payroll providers to ensure timely and accurate payroll; verify payroll data including bonuses, deductions, and leaves; maintain up-to-date employee records in HRIS and ensure compliance with payroll and tax regulations. General HR Support: Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and personnel files; support compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws; assist with HR reporting and audits; help coordinate employee engagement and training initiatives. What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in HR administration or a related role. Familiarity with HRIS systems and payroll platforms. Solid understanding of HR practices, labor laws, and payroll principles. Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word. Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $65,000 - $75,000 per year depending upon level of experience. Benefits
