California medical license Board Certification Required MD (Doctor of Medicine) or DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) required Successful completion of an ophthalmology residency at the time of appointment Successful completion of a Glaucoma fellowship at the time of appointment No minimum work experience required Skills and abilities to perform patient care at an acceptable level as dictated by UC Davis Health policy and procedures Comprehensive understanding of medical and clinical sciences across a range of specialties Familiarity with current diagnostic methods, treatment modalities, and evidence-based practices Knowledge of public health principles and infection control protocols Awareness of ethical, legal, and regulatory standards in healthcare delivery Understanding of hospital/clinic policies, documentation systems, and electronic health records (EHR) Key Responsibilities
