UTHealth Houston . Position Summary

Provides technical assistance in the preparation of teaching materials to the instructor and students in support of the instructional classes in the laboratory. Position Key Accountabilities

Dispenses biohazardous materials by autoclaving and bagging for disposal. Washes and sterilizes glassware, pipets, instruments and tips. Soaks glassware and instruments in dichromate acid to remove stubborn stains. Collects lab coats daily for laundry, completes laundry slips with the number of submitted coats, and returns the lab coats to their proper labs. Performs other duties as assigned. None. Minimum Education

High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum Experience

One year of experience with laboratory and/or scientific procedures. May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement. Physical Requirements

Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. This position may include work involving potentially hazardous chemical, biological or radioactive agents. Security Sensitive
