Job Description Are you a problem-solver who thrives on tackling complex challenges in automation and controls? We’re looking for a
Senior Controls Engineer
to lead design, implementation, and support of cutting-edge material handling systems across North America. In this role, you’ll be hands-on with PLC/HMI programming, electrical design, and commissioning while guiding junior engineers and collaborating with clients to deliver high-performing solutions.
What You Will Do
Lead cross-disciplinary teams to develop automation solutions for material handling projects.
Design, develop, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs (Allen-Bradley / Rockwell, Siemens, Beckhoff, Schneider, etc.).
Produce electrical schematics and documentation using AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical.
Provide technical leadership during site evaluations, installations, commissioning, and acceptance testing.
Mentor engineers, support project management, and communicate project updates to stakeholders.
Collaborate with manufacturing and R&D teams to maintain high standards of quality and innovation.
Perform retrofits and modernizations for electrical and controls systems, including ASRS and conveyor systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
7+ years of experience in Controls Engineering (material handling industry preferred).
Proficiency in PLC/HMI platforms: Allen-Bradley Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View; familiarity with Siemens, Beckhoff, Modicon, Lenze, and CodeSys is a plus.
