Leverage experience to navigate market dynamics; conceive and operationalize initiatives that yield substantial revenue growth in expanding our market presence and attracting fresh clientele. The role includes analyzing equity research (sell-side) and providing tailored investment guidance to institutional investors in the energy sector, shaping strategic recommendations, and pitching, winning, and executing equity capital markets transactions in partnership with the internal investment banking team. Responsibilities
Provide analytical equity research (sell-side) and offer tailored investment guidance to institutional investors in the energy sector; assess market trends, identify investment opportunities, and shape strategic recommendations. Act as a direct catalyst for revenue streams by pitching, winning, and executing equity capital markets transactions in partnership with the internal investment banking team. Engage with global energy market private and public companies regarding their positioning in institutional investment portfolios and the broader stock market; cultivate and nurture relationships with key clients to drive revenue growth and enduring partnerships. Serve as the primary strategic liaison to understand client investment objectives and tailor solutions that align with their goals; share timely market insights and offer expert advice relevant to client needs; maintain client trust as a valuable partner. Provide leadership to the global sales team, guiding, mentoring, and shaping its ability to navigate complexities and deliver value to clients. Collaborate with equities management and corporate access teams to drive the execution of energy sector strategy and distribution efforts. Manage market expansion and drive strategic initiatives to strengthen the firm’s presence in the energy sector, including interactions with hedge funds, long-only funds, sovereign wealth funds, and multi-strat funds. Provide strategic planning to tap into new segments, attract clients, and establish partnerships; oversee energy sector marketing strategy including conferences, analyst marketing, and non-deal roadshows (NDRs). Work with marketing teams to create impactful materials and campaigns to drive expansion and revenue growth. Set and achieve ambitious quarterly sales and annual financial targets; manage energy sector expenses and ensure alignment with revenue growth strategies. Host energy sector discussions at public events to elevate the firm’s brand and share industry knowledge. Qualifications
Requires Master’s (or foreign education equivalent) degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or closely related field with three (3) years of experience in the offered job or related field. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or closely related field with five (5) years (post-degree, progressive) experience in the offered job or related field and FINRA Series 7 & 63 licenses. Experience must include performing analytical equity research (sell-side), driving several million dollars in revenue in equity sales, working with global energy market private and public companies in relation to institutional investment portfolios and the broader stock market, pitching and executing equity capital markets transactions with the internal investment banking team, and working with hedge funds, long-only funds, sovereign wealth funds, and multi-strat funds in the energy space. Experience in managing energy sector marketing strategies including conferences, analyst marketing, and NDRs; allocating corporate access resources to maximize revenue; leveraging energy sector expertise for public speaking engagements.
