R-100163**Job Description:**Piper Sandler & Co., Houston, TX seeks Managing Director: Energy Specialist - Manage the growth of our energy business across international markets. Leverage experience to navigate market dynamics; Conceive and operationalize initiatives that yield substantial revenue growth in expanding our market presence and attracting fresh clientele. Perform analytical equity research, specifically sell-side research analysis and provide tailored investment guidance to institutional investors entrenched in the energy sector, assess market trends, recognize investment opportunities, and shape strategic recommendations. Serve as a direct catalyst for revenue streams to include pitching, winning and executing equity capital markets transactions in partnership with the internal investment banking team and to significantly bolster our competitiveness, solidify our market leadership, and drive revenue growth. Work with global energy market private and public companies as it relates to their positioning in institutional investment portfolios and the broader stock market and oversee and nurture relationships with key clients to contribute to both revenue growth and the establishment of enduring partnerships. Serve as the primary strategic liaison, understand the investment objectives and preferences of these clients and tailor strategic solutions that align with their goals; share timely market insights and offer expert advice that resonates with their unique preferences. Engage with clients to ensure the firm maintains its status as a trusted partner delivering exceptional value. Provide leadership to the global sales team, playing a crucial role in guiding, mentoring, and shaping its ability to navigate complexities, capitalize on opportunities, and deliver exceptional value to clients. Serve as a source of inspiration and guidance, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence within the team, going beyond managing day-to-day operations. Collaborate closely with equities management and corporate access teams to drive the execution of energy sector strategy and distribution efforts. Manage market expansion and drive strategic initiatives that strengthen the firm’s presence within the energy sector; devise and execute comprehensive strategies that fortify our market footprint, extend our reach and resonate with clients, including working with hedge funds, long only funds, sovereign wealth funds, and multi-strat funds as it relates to making investment decisions in the broader energy space. Provide expert strategic planning enabling us to tap into new segments, attract fresh clients, and establish strategic partnerships. Manage energy sector marketing strategy including conferences, analyst marketing and NDRs and collaborate closely with marketing teams, provide crucial insights and guidance to create compelling materials and campaigns to drive expansion efforts, bolster the firm’s brand, and seize new avenues for revenue generation. Set and achieve ambitious quarterly sales and annual financial targets; responsible for approximately USD $29.8 million in revenue. Oversee energy sector-related expenses and revenue by collaboratively managing expenses and aligning them with revenue growth strategies to ensure optimal resource allocation. Meet financial targets and position the firm for sustainable success. Drive strategic decisions and foster growth on a broader scale, guide the strategic direction of the energy sector distribution process, and collaborate seamlessly with equities management and other teams. Identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within the energy sector and translate them into cohesive strategies. Collaborate with company management teams and allocate firm corporate access resources to optimize investor engagement and capital-raising activities and shape Piper Sandler's energy sector. Host energy sector discussions at a variety of public events to elevate the firm’s brand and share industry knowledge. Will travel 30% US travel to meet w/current and/or prospective clients.Requires Master’s (or foreign educ. equiv.) Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or closely related and three (3) yrs. experience in the Job Offered or related. Alternatively, will accept a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or closely related and five (5) yrs. (post-degree, progressive) experience in Job Offered or related and FINRA Series 7 & 63 Licenses.Experience must have included Performing analytical equity research, specifically sell-side research analysis; Driving several million dollars in revenue in equity sales; Working with global energy market private and public companies as it relates to their positioning in institutional investment portfolios and the broader stock market; Pitching, winning and executing equity capital markets transactions in partnership with the internal investment banking team; Working with hedge funds, long only funds, sovereign wealth funds, and multi-strat funds as it relates to making investment decisions in the broader energy space; Managing energy sector marketing strategy including conferences, analyst marketing and NDRs; Allocating firm corporate access resources to maximize revenue; and Leveraging subject matter expertise in energy sector for public speaking engagements.Apply online at **.** #J-18808-Ljbffr
