Responsibilities
We are currently looking to add a talented Field Applications Engineer to our North American Sales team based in the Western US region. To be successful in this role, candidates must have a strong desire to help other engineers achieve the maximum performance and benefit from our products. As the technical lead in the sales organization within the region, customers will look to you for guidance choosing the right products and for help with optimizing the implementation. You must also have strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and of course, superior technical skills. You must also possess the willingness to perform detailed bench work to breadboard and test solutions for customers. Competencies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability and willingness to interface with customers on the telephone Ability to present Power Integrations product benefits to large and small groups Strong analytical and laboratory skills Requirements
BSEE or equivalent; MSEE or equivalent preferred Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a sales engineering role AC-DC Power Conversion design experience Demonstrated magnetics design experience Experience in one of the following end markets: UPS, Solid State Lighting, Metering, Appliances, Cell Phone chargers, Industrial controls, Notebook or PC Power Supplies Prior experience as an FAE for semiconductor products used in power conversion applications preferred Working knowledge of EMI and Safety standards Willingness to travel up to 40% within region for on-site customer support Compensation and Benefits
Power Integrations is committed to building teams that drive innovation and therefore review a range of factors when determining compensation. The annual base pay range for this position is $63,273 to $75,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, qualifications and work location. The range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position in California. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Power Integrations also offers to our eligible employees a comprehensive total rewards package that includes equity, medical benefits, ESPP, 401K, tuition reimbursement and time off programs.
