Strategic Partner Development Lead, Chrome and Web Ecosystems

Overview Google’s Partnerships Development team seeks and explores new opportunities with Google’s partners. You will interact with partners and help them grow using Google’s products, shaping applications and content for services such as YouTube, Google TV, and Commerce. You will help drive the future of browsing and the open web by partnering across the ecosystem and supporting Chrome’s goals across consumer growth, advertising, enterprise, identity, AI, and the broader platform ecosystem. You will manage Chrome’s partnerships with leading publishers and web service providers to advance product adoption, balance innovation with the long-term needs of the publishing ecosystem, and support cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
Build, maintain, and evolve external relationships with partners and across the ecosystem; manage strategic partnerships with entities of all sizes.
Develop cross‑product area strategic partner initiatives and go‑to‑market strategies to meet broader Google goals across rapidly changing industries.
Ideate and drive agreements with potential partners and renewals/expansions for existing partners; build consensus with internal and external executives.
Help realize and optimize value from these partnerships while building effective long‑term relationships.
Engage with multiple internal cross‑functional teams across geographies to incubate, launch, improve, and scale new features and user experiences.
Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking in relevant industries (e.g., Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E‑Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, Technology).
Experience working with C‑level executives and across all levels of management.
Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
Preferred qualifications
Master’s degree or other advanced degree.
Experience managing partnerships with major publishers or content platforms.
Experience working autonomously in a dynamic, ever-changing, and collaborative environment.
Knowledge of the digital publishing ecosystem, including business generation, content management, and emerging web technologies.
Ability to influence cross‑functional teams and translate partner needs into actionable insights.
Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial benefits, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.
Compensation and benefits The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $134,000–$196,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay within the range is based on location and factors including skills, experience, and education. Specific salary range for your preferred location will be shared during hiring.
