Riggs Washington DC sits on the iconic downtown corner of Penn Quarter's 9th and F Street in a historic building once home to Riggs National Bank. Each of the Hotel's 181 guest rooms offers a playful nod to the building's legacy. Riggs is home to the all-occasion European brasserie-inspired restaurant Café Riggs, as well as Silver Lyan - a subterranean bar from the internationally acclaimed Ryan Chetiyawardana, also known as Mr Lyan.

experienced and passionate Restaurant General Manager for Café Riggs . Our preferred candidate would have luxury or independent hospitality experience in the Washington DC market.

Core Essential Functions
Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, setting clear expectations and standards for service, performance, and professionalism.
Own all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring excellence in service execution, product quality, cleanliness, and team performance.
Maintain a flawless relationship with the entire hotel team & be the main point of contact for the hotel leadership team
Drive a service culture that prioritizes personalization, warmth, and consistency in every guest interaction.
Build, manage, and own the restaurant's operating budget, P&L, and forecasting models in partnership with Director of F&B and finance team.
Lead the development and execution of new concepts, seasonal menus, and brand partnerships that align with market trends and guest demand.
Oversee scheduling, payroll, training, and performance management across all restaurant roles.
Direct and participate in the functions of the Food and Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation.
Implement effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs
Maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding guest experience.
Regularly review and evaluate guest feedback to ensure a great food and beverage operation.
This position requires the following knowledge, skills and abilities
3 - 5+ years of upscale restaurant experience
Extensive knowledge of restaurant operations is required
Willingness to learn and adapt in new situations
Positive outlook and attitude is a must
Salary Range:
$90 - $100k per annum
