Job Summary The Brokerage Operations Associate Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the financial operations of NTSI by managing key reporting, transaction processing, and operational tasks. This role is part of a strategic transition of responsibilities from NTSI Finance to Brokerage Operations and will collaborate closely with Global Brokerage Ops, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely execution of financial processes.
Work Model Hybrid
Major Duties Core Operational Tasks
Prepare and deliver daily and monthly management sales reporting
Track and approve invoices in coordination with Global Brokerage Ops
Upload revenue and expense data into financial systems
Process check deposits and identify incoming payments
Execute and generate ad hoc reports as needed
Set up wires for outgoing payments
Provide formatted data for accounting close processes
Support audit preparation and assist with regulatory reporting
Collaborative Functions
Work with NTSI Legal Entity CFO and Accounting teams on:
FOCUS and SIPC regulatory reporting
Financial audits
Cash management
Accounting entry compilation and approval
Enhancement Initiatives
Contribute to projects focused on:
Expense and vendor management
Client profitability reporting
Revenue and expense reconciliations
Cost center allocation improvements
Automation of accounting preparation
Data management and forecasting capabilities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
5 years of experience in financial operations or brokerage services
Strong understanding of financial reporting and reconciliation processes
Familiarity with regulatory reporting (FOCUS, SIPC) is a plus
Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, SQL and financial systems
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively across departments
Additional Requirements
FINRA licensing SIE, 99 or 7 and 27 preferred or willing to obtain with 90 days
Flexibility to adapt to evolving responsibilities and enhancements
Willingness to support transition planning and execution
Salary Range $95,600 – 162,400 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
