Major Duties
Assists with the development and successful implementation of systems, processes and projects changes for the Cash Ops group
Assists management with the identification, assessment, monitoring and control of risk issues
Ensures sufficient cover of all tasks is maintained in the team, including identifying and training partners as necessary
Analyses and closes any gaps in implementing process/procedure changes in the Cash Ops team
Conducts performance management and career development processes, provides input for staffing and disciplinary actions and provides hands-on training to staff
Develops periodic goals, organizes the work, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activities, and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work
As subject area expert, provides comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level
Carries out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult
Role is balanced between high level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities
Responsible for direct interaction with different committees and/or management
Strategic in developing, implementing and administering programs within functional areas
Provides input and support to budget management process
Knowledge
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
In-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge of Capital Markets is required. Analytical and problem solving skills are required.
Leadership and organizational skills are required to develop periodic goals and to manage and motivate team members towards the goals set.
Excellent influencing and negotiation skills are required.
Experience
A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required.
Related Industry qualification is preferred.
Salary Range $85,900 - 145,900 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
