This role supports student programs, global mobility, and senior talent acquisition efforts within GEODIS.
What you will do (Responsibilities)
Develop procurement and local procurement strategies.
Drive down costs through lowest possible levels without jeopardizing customer transit time requirements.
Manage Local Supplier Performance (e.g., QBRs).
Ensure proper and adequate pricing for local inquiries and tenders.
Ensure quality and completeness of pricing for origin and destination charges within scope.
Ensure competitiveness of airport-to-airport pricing in line with volume and yield strategy.
Contribute to volume growth strategies through business development to safeguard the budget.
Obtain and share market intelligence and outlooks with BD and local management.
Gather regular feedback on pricing and performance from sales and customers.
What you need (Qualifications)
College degree (Bachelor) or equivalent work experience/apprenticeship.
3-5 years of experience in a global air forwarder and carrier network in a leadership position.
Strong and proven carrier and customer negotiation skills.
Proven track record of managing air freight procurement.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Bonus if you have (Preferred requirements)
Carrier or forwarder operations management experience.
