Overview
The Senior Associate Athletic Director for Compliance directs, coordinates, implements, facilitates, oversees and evaluates all facets of the Institution’s effort to comply with NCAA, SWAC and Mississippi Valley State University rules and regulations necessary to maintain institutional control of the athletics program. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Compliance Office, including data reporting of compliance activity, updating NCAA records, reviewing and monitoring the departmental budget, and training staff on current software systems and compliance training/workshops. Counsel student-athletes on requirements for personal conduct, academic performance, and athletic participation, including good sportsmanship. Adapt to a changing work environment, work extended days and weekends, and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record. Travel by air or ground transportation; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, NCAA Compliance Assistant, NCAA Eligibility Center, email, internet, fax and calculator. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Athletic Director. Responsibilities

Review and monitor the departmental budget and staff training on software and compliance processes. Counsel student-athletes on personal conduct, academics, and athletic participation. Adapt to a changing work environment, and prepare for extended days and weekends; maintain necessary driving qualifications. Travel as required; utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, NCAA Compliance Assistant, NCAA Eligibility Center and related tools. Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree. Minimum of 3 years of NCAA Compliance related duties or a combination of work-study, internships, etc. Athletic background (high school or collegiate). Ability to establish good rapport and working relationships with student-athletes, coaching staff, administration, university personnel and the general public. Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree. Demonstrates administrative and public relations abilities. Industries
