Clinic Support Associate (Full Time/Commack)
Pay: $17.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Responsibilities
Welcomes patients and visitors with a positive attitude, in person or by telephone, and handles inquiries.
Provide high level customer service to maximize patient satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments.
Generate reports, logs, and lists with high accuracy (e.g., authorizations and verifications).
Ensure co-pays are tallied and managed; control credit extended to patients.
Call treating physicians to obtain updated prescriptions for therapy.
Obtain Plan of Care from treating physician and update the system.
Set up new/returning patient cases in TheraOffice with demographic and insurance information.
Keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying clinicians of arrivals and reviewing service delivery against schedule.
Maintain access to treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
Maintain inventory of office supplies and equipment; place orders and verify receipt; schedule equipment service and repairs.
Maintain knowledge of Metro policies and ensure compliance; perform other duties as required.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
Serve as a scribe for recording/editing therapeutic exercises under supervision, and assist with therapy prep and patient assistance as needed.
Help treat patients by preparing materials, guiding exercises, and monitoring exertion levels.
Ensure operation of treatment equipment by preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
Educate patients on proper use of equipment and exercise routines.
Prepare treatment rooms and assist with therapy sessions; provide information and reassurance to patients.
Answer calls from physician offices, hospitals, and patients with excellent customer service.
Maintain therapy supplies inventory and provide front desk coverage as needed.
Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
One (1) year of Physical Therapy/Medical office experience
Experience with an EMR system is a plus
Professional and courteous communication with customers, co-workers, and management
Current or recent experience in a medical practice with compliance to federal, state, and local regulations
Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency with Google Suite; ability to learn new programs quickly
Strong customer service orientation
High school diploma or GED; knowledge of therapy equipment
Knowledge of patient needs and safety; ability to observe and document changes
Ability to complete in-service training
Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect patient information
Ability to create and maintain records and write brief reports
Ability to communicate effectively
