Overview

You will be a senior member of the engineering team that builds the DevOp Source code management (SCM) platform at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). SCM is Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's enterprise-grade, highly scalable GIT management service. Typical activities include leading design and discovery discussions, prototyping, hands-on software development and maintaining operations of the service in all regions where OCI operates. You should be independent and able to understand business needs, work closely with product owners, and balance business goals with technical implementation across a wide range of high-impact projects. Responsibilities

Design, develop, debug and maintain the OCI native SCM service Implement high-performance software systems Debug production issues with engineers and the support team Contribute to operations and improve service health KPIs Participate in on-call rotation supporting the service across all OCI regions Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science or equivalent work experience; advanced degree is a plus Demonstrated ability to deliver the items listed in the responsibilities 3+ years of experience in application development; experience with scaling backend data systems is a plus Expertise in Java, Python, C/C++, or Go (two or more) Knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, DBaaS, NoSQL Experience deploying and operating services on Linux with 100% uptime goals General knowledge of multiprocessor systems, threading, distributed systems, load balancing, and high availability Experience with root cause analysis, monitoring, alarming, and observability for large-scale distributed systems Qualifications

US: Hiring range in USD from $79,200 - $178,100 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity. Oracle maintains broad salary ranges to account for knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations.
